Location: Hybrid working – 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home in Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Marlow, Newcastle

What you will do

• Assist in implementing Data Governance policies, standards, and procedures.
• Support the rollout of governance tools such as data catalogs and metadata repositories.
• Conduct regular checks to assess data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Work alongside Data Management Executives to ensure alignment between Data Governance and Data Management processes.
• Maintain business glossaries, data dictionaries, and metadata.
• Identify opportunities to streamline Data Governance processes or enhance data quality.

Requirements

• Good understanding of data governance principles (quality, lineage, metadata, ownership).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Strong communication skills, able to convey data concepts clearly.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across business and technical teams.
• Experience working with data in an operational or analytical capacity.
• Experience with data governance or data management tools (e.g., MS Purview, Master Data Management tools, Data Quality monitoring platforms).

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Data Models (Conceptual, Logical, Physical) and Data Flow Diagrams.
• Previous involvement in Data Literacy uplift activities.
• Experience within a similar organization.
