Business Development Manager

What you will do

• Deliver against individual revenue targets by identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities.
• Lead the full sales lifecycle from prospecting through to contract finalization.
• Manage bid and tender pipelines, engaging early with stakeholders to shape requirements.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships and relationships with procurement leads.
• Analyze sector trends and competitor positioning to inform GTM strategies.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and report on key performance indicators.

Requirements

• Proven track record in business development, sales, or commercial roles.
• Experience in leading or managing a sales team.
• Prior exposure to bids, tenders, frameworks, or public sector procurement.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid model from the Manchester office.
• Full, clean UK driving licence with flexibility for nationwide travel.
• Strong commercial acumen and excellent stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in SaaS, EdTech, or B2B software environments.
• Knowledge of education, training, or apprenticeship sectors.
• Familiarity with procurement frameworks and funding environments.
