What you will do

• Develop and tune innovative ML models and labeler systems based on clinical use cases.
• Write, debug, and maintain production-grade Python and SQL code.
• Own the full lifecycle of ML models from initial prototyping to real-world deployment.
• Identify strategies to improve production ML-based systems and implement them effectively.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Clinical, Engineering, and Product teams to align on specifications.
• Communicate model performance and complex metrics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US
• Ph.D. in a relevant field plus 3+ years of experience shipping ML-based software products.
• Proven ability to own ML models from prototyping through to production environments.
• Strong experience implementing real-time algorithms that update dynamically.
• Expertise in writing production-grade Python and SQL for live systems.
• Demonstrable track record of using statistics and performance metrics to evaluate end-to-end model efficacy.

Nice to have

• Experience shipping 0-1 products using State-of-the-Art ML methods.
• Experience working with messy clinical health data and large Health Systems.
• Familiarity with PyTorch, PySpark, HL7, FHIR, EHR, or time-series forecasting.
• Background in Bayesian statistics, anomaly detection, or signal processing.
