What you will do

• Define the end-to-end strategy and roadmap for all internal tools, platforms, and automation systems.
• Architect secure, scalable, and reliable internal platforms using cloud-native principles and microservices.
• Lead the integration of AI and LLMs into internal workflows to streamline decision-making and knowledge sharing.
• Make critical build-vs-buy decisions to ensure long-term infrastructure advantages.
• Build and mentor a high-performing team of engineers and managers while fostering a culture of ownership.
• Partner with leadership across People, Finance, and Operations to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in engineering leadership.
• Strong hands-on background in cloud systems (AWS/GCP/Azure), APIs, and microservices.
• Proven experience scaling internal platforms that serve cross-functional teams.
• Strong product thinking with the ability to define success via user outcomes and business impact.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical roadmaps to non-technical stakeholders.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid capacity in Palo Alto, California.

Nice to have

• Experience in high-growth or AI-native environments.
• Background in platform engineering or developer experience (IDP).
• Familiarity with business systems integration (Salesforce, Workday, NetSuite).
• Experience with M&A integrations and cybersecurity compliance frameworks.
