What you will do

• Design and implement granular role-based access control (RBAC) across the platform.
• Build comprehensive audit logging infrastructure integrated with SIEM for compliance investigations.
• Develop scalable data lifecycle and intelligent de-identification pipelines for multi-modal clinical data.
• Enforce least-privilege policies to ensure all PHI access is documented and tracked.
• Influence technical direction across teams as a staff-level contributor.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years focused on security, privacy, or compliance infrastructure.
• Strong backend development fundamentals in Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Proven ability to design and own access control systems or data lifecycle pipelines at scale.
• Experience influencing technical direction and leading cross-cutting initiatives.
• Must be based in the San Francisco area and willing to work hybrid (3x/week in-person).
