What you will do

• Build backend systems that power enterprise controls, including permissions, policy enforcement, and auditability.
• Design residency- and region-aware architectures to meet strict customer-specific requirements.
• Partner with product, security, and legal teams to transform enterprise needs into scalable technical systems.
• Improve the reliability, observability, and operational maturity of core ChatGPT enterprise services.
• Develop onboarding and engagement loops to help users discover and adopt advanced capabilities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional engineering experience in product-driven tech companies.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language such as Python, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
• Experience designing and operating distributed systems with emphasis on reliability and security.
• Experience with access controls, data governance, or other enterprise platform concerns.
• Familiarity with relational databases like Postgres or MySQL.
• Ability to thrive in fast-growing environments and navigate loosely defined tasks.

Nice to have

• Experience as a founder or early engineer at a startup.
• Prior experience building products from scratch.
• Interest in AI and machine learning systems.
