What you will do

• Define and execute the overall data science and applied AI strategy.
• Build and manage the internal data science team while coordinating with external ML agencies.
• Develop and deploy production-grade ML models for personalization, churn prediction, and LTV forecasting.
• Design advanced fraud detection systems and risk prevention scoring.
• Collaborate with engineering to implement MLOps practices, CI/CD for models, and robust data pipelines.
• Integrate LLM-based capabilities such as semantic search and automated decision engines.

Requirements

• 6+ years in data science or ML engineering, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or senior ownership role.
• Strong proficiency in Python, ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost), and analytics tooling.
• Proven experience deploying ML models in production environments.
• Hands-on expertise in recommendation systems, time-series forecasting, or fraud detection.
• Familiarity with data infrastructure tools like Airflow, dbt, BigQuery, or Snowflake.
• English proficiency B2+ is required for cross-functional collaboration.
• Must be located in Spain, Portugal, Romania, or Germany.

• Prior experience in managing teams and working with external vendors.
