Phishing Analyst-SkillBridge Intern (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Review suspicious emails and determine whether they are malicious or benign.
• Conduct open-source research and identify phishing and social engineering techniques.
• Guide candidates through the Red Canary program and support their career goals.
• Support internal and external job searches, resume reviews, and mock interviews.
• Share relevant civilian transition experiences and coordinate candidate assistance.

Requirements

• Foundational understanding of AI and machine learning technologies, including experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions.
• At least 1 year of experience in a technical-facing role troubleshooting and resolving issues across a wide range of technologies.
• Strong interest in adversary tactics and techniques.
• Current active-duty United States military member or Guard/Reserve member on active-duty orders for at least 180 days, with 180 days or fewer remaining before discharge.
• Unit commander approval and an approved MOU must be submitted before the start date.

Nice to have

• Experience using large language models or AI-assisted classification tools to analyze email headers, detect language anomalies, and scale threat-triage workflows.
• Cybersecurity experience.
• Experience with Google Suite, Slack, Jira, or Asana.
