What you will do

• Review suspicious emails to identify and analyze social engineering techniques.
• Perform open-source research (OSINT) to determine the nature of threats.
• Classify emails as either malicious or benign.
• Collaborate within the Red Canary R&D team reporting to the Manager of Detection Engineering.

Requirements

• Current Active Duty United States military member or Guard/Reserve component member on active duty orders (180+ days of service and 180 or fewer days remaining prior to discharge).
• Unit commander approval and an approved MOU submitted before start.
• 1+ years in a technical role troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
• Deep interest in understanding adversary tactics and techniques.

Nice to have

• Prior cybersecurity experience.
• Experience with Google Suite and Slack.
• Proficiency with project management tools like Jira and Asana.
