What you will do

• Analyze and improve current architecture to address scalability, reliability, and maintainability gaps.
• Design high-throughput solutions for real-time event processing and data ingestion.
• Define the technical roadmap aligned with business and product objectives.
• Lead the design and implementation of distributed, event-driven systems.
• Support and mentor engineers in solving complex technical challenges.
• Contribute directly to the codebase, primarily using Scala.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building backend systems.
• Proven track record in a technical leadership role.
• Strong experience designing distributed, high-load systems.
• Proficiency with Scala or other JVM-based backend environments.
• Solid understanding of microservices, concurrency, and fault tolerance.
• English proficiency of B2 level or higher is required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with the Scala ecosystem, including Cats Effect, FS2, Akka, or ZIO.
• Experience with data ingestion platforms and streaming technologies.
• Background in fintech, betting, or real-time systems.
• Proficiency in Python.
