What you will do
- Own complex technical initiatives from ideation through to production.
- Design and evolve scalable, secure backend systems capable of real-world processing demands.
- Make architectural decisions balancing immediate needs with long-term system sustainability.
- Influence prioritization, strategy, and trade-offs across multiple product-engineering teams.
- Mentor engineers and strengthen team technical capability and operational accountability.
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering quality, reliability, and development practices.
Requirements
- Must be able to commute to the London office 2-3 days per week.
- Track record of delivering high-impact, complex systems in production environments.
- Strong systems thinking and architectural judgment.
- Proficiency in C# and willingness to cross-train into JVM/Kotlin environments.
- Strong discipline in Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Experience navigating ambiguity to turn complex problems into actionable plans.
Nice to have
- Experience in the fintech or banking industry.
- Exposure to Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS Aurora Postgres.
