Head of Engineering (SaaS): Leading and shaping the development function for a growing SaaS provider of CAFM and mobile data-capture solutions with an accent on delivery governance, team leadership, and process optimization. Focus on scaling engineering culture, managing multiple concurrent workstreams, and driving technical excellence to support the company’s growth and maturity.

Location: Must be based in the UK and able to work in a hybrid format (2-3 days per week in the Leeds office). Sponsorship is not available.

Salary: £70,000–£80,000 per annum + benefits

What you will do

• Oversee end-to-end engineering delivery across web and mobile development teams.
• Line-manage engineers and support Team Leads in fostering a high-performing engineering culture.
• Define and implement coding standards, best practices, and secure development workflows.
• Manage release governance and approval processes to ensure reliable deployment cadences.
• Collaborate with Product and Architecture teams to prioritize work and drive continuous technical improvement.
• Optimize engineering processes to reduce technical debt and improve team productivity.

Requirements

• Must have the right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available).
• 5+ years of experience in software development environments.
• Proven experience in engineering leadership and managing multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Solid understanding of .NET and modern web architectures.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence technical and non-technical partners.
• Familiarity with Agile or Kanban delivery models.

Nice to have

• Experience in CAFM, compliance, or field-service software industries.
• Prior involvement in scaling engineering teams or preparing organizations for acquisition.
• Leadership or management training qualifications.
