What you will do

• Drive applied research across retrieval, ranking, and agent-centric search systems.
• Design multi-stage retrieval pipelines including query understanding and reranking.
• Develop grounding approaches for LLMs using real-time web data.
• Define evaluation methodologies and quality metrics for agent-native search.
• Lead experimentation on hybrid search, embedding systems, and cross-encoders.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy research models into production.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in applied AI, machine learning, or software engineering.
• Strong track record of shipping production-grade ML or AI systems.
• Deep expertise in retrieval, ranking, search relevance, or recommendation systems.
• Strong understanding of transformers and deep learning approaches.
• Programming proficiency in Python, Go, or C++.
• Ability to operate independently in a product-driven, fast-moving environment.

• Background in agentic AI systems or RAG.
• Experience with large-scale web search or marketplace systems.
• Experience with query understanding and personalization.
