TL;DR

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Tysons, Virginia (Hybrid: 4 days/week in-office)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain new features for the flagship mobile application serving millions of users.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including iOS, backend, QA, and product managers through the full project lifecycle.
• Design and implement real-time video streaming features utilizing HLS/RTSP protocols and media frameworks.
• Build responsive, performant user interfaces following Material Design guidelines.
• Research and implement new Android technologies and methodologies to enhance product capabilities.
• Participate in architectural decisions and code reviews to ensure robust, maintainable solutions.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and experience with the Android SDK.
• Experience with modern architecture patterns (MVVM, MVI) and asynchronous programming (Coroutines/Flow).
• Ability to work in-office 4 days per week in Tysons, VA.

Nice to have

• Experience with Jetpack Compose for declarative UI development.
• Video streaming domain knowledge (MediaCodec, WebRTC).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and mobile security best practices.
• Experience with iOS development (Swift, SwiftUI).
