What you will do

• Shape architecture, engineering standards, and best practices as a founding engineer.
• Design and maintain end-to-end features across the core SaaS platform.
• Develop backend services using Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Implement AI-powered features including chat agents, autonomous workflows, and LLM orchestration.
• Utilize AI coding agents like Cursor or Windsurf as part of the daily development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with leadership on roadmap definition and long-term system scaling strategies.

Requirements

• Must be able to work regularly from Irvine, CA.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js.
• Proven experience building and operating production-level SaaS platforms.
• Solid experience with Python and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Hands-on experience building AI-driven systems or LLM-based agent workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience scaling early-stage or recently funded products.
• Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, and RAG architectures.
• Background in security, authentication, and multi-tenant systems.
• Prior founding or early-stage startup experience.
