TL;DR

Payroll & Benefits Specialist (Fintech): Managing end-to-end payroll and benefits administration for North American operations with an accent on compliance, tax regulations, and HRIS data integrity. Focus on ensuring 100% accuracy in payroll execution, supporting audits, and scaling support processes across North America and LatAm regions.

Location: Must be based in the US or Canada (Hybrid options available for Toronto or Edmonton).

What you will do

  • Own end-to-end bi-weekly payroll cycles for the US and Canada.
  • Lead benefits enrollment sessions and support annual renewal processes.
  • Manage tax compliance, government filings, and IRS/DOL audits.
  • Maintain data accuracy between HRIS (Sage) and payroll software (ADP).
  • Support regional HR processes including onboarding and offboarding for North American and LatAm teams.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for People Operations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in People Ops or HR with a focus on US & Canada payroll and benefits.
  • Must be based in the US or Canada.
  • Proficiency with ADP, Sage HRIS, and Google Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and provincial payroll regulations and tax laws.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity.
