Software Engineer

TL;DR

Software Engineer (Backend): Designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and APIs with an accent on writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. Focus on debugging, diagnosing, and resolving production issues, and contributing to code reviews and documentation.

Location: Must be able to commute to the Boston Seaport office 2-3 days a week. US Citizenship is REQUIRED.

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑tested code.
• Assist in debugging, diagnosing, and resolving production issues.
• Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Learn and apply enterprise engineering patterns.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• US Citizenship is REQUIRED.
• Ability to commute to the Boston Seaport office 2-3 days a week.
• Strong fundamentals in Java programming and object‑oriented design principles.
• Familiarity with both relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Understanding cloud‑native design principles, and platform architecture concepts.

Nice to have

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience with the Java Spring Framework.
• Experience with RESTful API design.
• Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL database systems.
• Solid problem‑solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
