What you will do

• Construct backend systems and develop new features for game projects.
• Collaborate with leads and stakeholders to estimate and prioritize project tasks.
• Maintain and expand existing codebases to ensure high performance and stability.
• Promote engineering excellence through rigorous testing, CI/CD, and documentation.
• Support and mentor team members in daily engineering workflows.
• Work with internal tools and cloud infrastructure to deliver scalable backend services.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in the UK or the EU.
• Commercial game development experience working on backend services for AAA, mobile, or casino titles.
• Production experience with at least one of: Java, Golang, C#, C++, or Kotlin.
• Proven ability to work with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, distributed applications, and database management (SQL and NoSQL).
• Knowledge of microservices, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to have

• AWS Certification (Associate or above).
• Experience using LLMs for data processing and AI for code generation.
• Familiarity with Perforce or Git source control.
