What you will do

• Improve the performance, resilience, and scalability of core Sportsbook systems.
• Develop backend features using Go (Golang) within a microservices architecture.
• Design quality strategies and acceptance criteria for new features from the planning stage.
• Create and maintain test automation frameworks across API, service, and UI levels.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering to maintain CI/CD testing pipelines.
• Identify quality risks early and work closely with product owners throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Requirements

• Must be based in London and able to work 4 days per week in the office.
• Strong programming proficiency in Go, Java, or C#.
• Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL), NoSQL (MongoDB), and messaging systems like Kafka.
• Solid understanding of microservices, Kubernetes, and architectural patterns like DDD.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) and high-traffic applications.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to troubleshoot live production issues.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in the sports marketing or regulated gaming industry.
• Experience coaching or mentoring others in quality practices.
• Knowledge of A/B testing and experimentation.
• Familiarity with Agile/Kanban methodologies.
