What you will do

• Lead market scans, customer research, and competitive benchmarking to inform strategic decisions.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI to internal workflows and prototype lightweight AI-enabled solutions.
• Analyze customer cohorts and performance metrics to uncover trends.
• Build executive-ready reports and develop case studies for senior state leaders.
• Create playbooks, documentation, and tools to improve operational efficiency.
• Design and lead a standalone strategic initiative from scoping through execution.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in consulting or a similarly rigorous, analytical role.
• Must be currently employed to qualify for this externship opportunity.
• Must have independent work authorization for the United States.
• Strong problem structuring, quantitative analysis, and communication skills.
• Ability to operate independently in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Interest in public sector innovation and mission-driven technology.
