What you will do

• Define and own the commercial strategy across product areas, including growth, improvement, and competitive positioning.
• Set the prioritization agenda based on merchant impact and business value.
• Maintain a deep understanding of customer segments and their distinct needs.
• Work closely with the Product Owner throughout delivery, reviewing specs and ensuring output matches commercial intent.
• Own merchant feedback collection and synthesis, turning qualitative input into structured product opportunities.
• Monitor the competitive landscape and flag where ZEN needs to respond.

Requirements

• 4+ years in a commercial, product, or strategy role within a payments company, PSP, or merchant-facing fintech.
• Deep understanding of payment gateway products, including API integrations and plugin-based commerce platforms.
• Experience owning or significantly contributing to a recurring billing or subscription payments product.
• Proven ability to serve multiple customer segments simultaneously and make clear prioritization decisions.
• Comfortable engaging with technical buyers and developers.
• Strong analytical capability with transaction data and funnel metrics.

Nice to have

• Experience at a PSP, acquirer, or payment gateway business in Europe.
• Familiarity with SCA, PSD2, and 3DS requirements.
• Understanding of failed payment recovery strategies.
• Experience with plugin ecosystems like WooCommerce, Magento, or PrestaShop.
• Has worked in a BO/PO model.
