Software Engineer (TypeScript)

Location: Hybrid, with options in San Francisco or New York

Salary: $140,000–$260,000 per year, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

• Build and test features that help writers earn more on hirify.global.
• Design and run experiments to improve sign-up conversion, first-action completion, and D1/D7 retention.
• Improve experiences for users arriving through organic search, App Store browsing, creator-shared links, and paid campaigns.
• Build tools that help new creators find an audience and establish a publishing habit.
• Collaborate with designers, product specialists, writers, support staff, and users from concept through deployment.
• Own work independently and operate autonomously in production.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience or interest in TypeScript, Node/Express, React, and Postgres.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and lead work without close supervision.
• High standards for production systems and product quality.
• Strong collaboration skills and an appreciation for diverse perspectives.
