What you will do

• Design and build a robust Python-based platform layer that interacts with the core system.
• Define patterns for service communication, orchestration, and responsibility split between core and Python services.
• Develop latency-sensitive, high-load async services.
• Own API contracts between systems to ensure stability and backward compatibility.
• Implement observability tools including monitoring, logging, and tracing to guarantee reliability.
• Drive engineering quality through testing strategies and secure CI/CD practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial experience in Python development.
• Strong expertise in modern frameworks, specifically FastAPI.
• Deep understanding of async programming, concurrency, and non-blocking I/O.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and large dataset handling.
• Experience building high-load backend systems and maintaining integration APIs.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Barcelona, Spain.

Nice to have

• Experience with NoSQL solutions and advanced database techniques like sharding and partitioning.
• Infrastructure-as-Code and platform-level operations experience.
• Familiarity with complex queue systems and analytical processing.
