TL;DR
Python Developer (Backend/iGaming): Developing high-load backend services for a bet lifecycle processing system with an accent on asynchronous programming, microservice architecture, and high-throughput data processing. Focus on optimizing bet processing, implementing Kafka/RabbitMQ integrations, and ensuring system scalability and reliability.
Location: Remote (Global). Relocation opportunities are available to Latvia, Malta, Spain, and Montenegro.

What you will do
- Develop and maintain high-load backend services using Python (asyncio).
- Design and optimize microservice architecture components for core bet processing.
- Implement integrations with Kafka, RabbitMQ, and internal RPC services.
- Refactor and improve existing services with a focus on scalability and performance.
- Write functional and integration tests to ensure system stability.
- Collaborate with QA, analysts, and product teams through code reviews and technical discussions.
Requirements
- Python 3.11 with 5+ years of professional experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with asyncio and asynchronous programming.
- Strong experience in microservice architecture (REST API, RPC).
- Proficiency with Kafka (partitioning strategies, consumer groups) and RabbitMQ (RPC, pub/sub).
- Experience with MongoDB (indexes, transactions) and Pydantic v2.
- Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and SOLID/DRY/KISS principles.
Nice to have
- Experience in fintech, betting, or trading domains.
- Knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Docker, Kubernetes, GraphQL (Ariadne), or ClickHouse.
- Experience with CI/CD setup.
