What you will do

• Own quarterly goals and lead engineers through ambiguous, open-ended backend problems.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics on ideation, technical constraints, risks, and trade-offs.
• Design, develop, launch, and operate scalable systems for real-time transaction processing and post-transaction ledgering and reconciliation.
• Create and monitor operational metrics, support service availability, and participate in the required on-call rotation.
• Improve code review and design standards while promoting engineering quality through documentation and technical talks.
• Develop engineering talent through feedback, guidance, and hands-on leadership.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using technologies such as Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• Experience shipping frontend applications.
• Ability to define technical plans for significant features or system components and implement elegant, simple, and extensible designs.
• Experience making significant changes in large codebases using safe tools and engineering practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team.
