What you will do

• Prepare technical documentation for Connection Application, Registration (R1), and Hold Point/Commissioning (R2) packages.
• Perform steady-state and dynamic power system studies using PSS/E, PSCAD, and PowerFactory.
• Support Generator Performance Standards negotiations with AEMO and network service providers through technical analysis and data.
• Liaise with AEMO, network service providers, consultants, and internal technical teams to resolve queries and support approvals.
• Coordinate external consultants and troubleshoot project models to ensure timely, technically compliant delivery.
• Assist with feasibility assessments and connection strategies for early-stage wind farm projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems.
• At least 2 years of experience in grid engineering or power systems, preferably in renewable energy.
• Experience with grid connection processes in Australia’s National Electricity Market.
• Knowledge of the National Electricity Rules, Generator Performance Standards, and AEMO/network service provider connection processes.
• Knowledge of power system modelling tools including PSS/E, PSCAD, and PowerFactory, as well as grid dynamics and electrical machines.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work in an international environment.
