What you will do

  • Ensure hardware quality by designing and performing robust test plans tracing back to component requirements.
  • Conduct lab-based testing and real-world field trials to verify sensor functionality.
  • Perform root cause analysis and problem-solving for design, prototype, and production issues.
  • Partner with the software team to execute hardware component tests.
  • Interpret system-level requirements and decompose them into detailed component requirements for sensors.
  • Maintain technical documentation and reports related to test findings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Hardware, or Computer Engineering with 2+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 0-3 years.
  • Experience with sensor modalities including Lidar, Radar, Camera, and Inertial Navigation Systems.
  • Familiarity with data buses like CAN, PCIe, Ethernet, LIN, or I2C.
  • Proficiency with requirements management tools like DOORS or Jama.
  • Experience with standard lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

  • Experience with ISO 26262 standards, ASPICE, or safety-critical systems.
  • Automotive Tier-1 supplier experience.
  • Experience with C, C++, Python, or Linux.
  • Background in processing and analyzing large sensor datasets.
