What you will do

• Lead and mentor a distributed team of infrastructure and search engineers, fostering a culture of reliability and excellence.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• 5–9+ years of experience in Software Engineering or related technical disciplines depending on educational background.
• 3+ years of experience in people management.
• 4+ years of experience troubleshooting across distributed service layers including networking, load-balancing, and storage.
• 4+ years of experience in domains such as databases, compilers, kernels, or security.
• Proven ability to deliver production-grade software using languages such as Go, Java, Python, or Rust.

Nice to have

• Deep expertise in Lucene/Apache-based search technologies like Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, or Solr.
• Experience with non-relational databases such as MongoDB or CosmosDB.
• Background in managing on-call rotations and live-site incident responses for large-scale systems.
