What you will do

• Own and drive the design and delivery of key gameplay systems in alignment with the project vision.
• Lead and mentor a team of designers to ensure high quality and consistency of output.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, art, and production to translate design concepts into feasible implementations.
• Establish iteration loops using playtesting and feedback to refine player experience.
• Support pitch development, prototypes, and vertical slices for new business and project initiatives.
• Maintain clear design documentation and provide actionable feedback during design reviews.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Lead or Senior Designer on AAA titles.
• Shipped multiple titles with ownership of core gameplay systems.
• Strong track record of driving design from concept through implementation.
• Confident working hands-on in-engine (Unreal Engine preferred).
• Ability to work on-site at the Liverpool studio.
• Strong cross-discipline communication and ability to present to clients or stakeholders.

• Experience with Unreal Engine.
• Background in presenting early concepts and pitch decks.
