What you will do

• Own the design direction and content pipeline for monthly releases and long-term game evolution.
• Manage and mentor a team of designers, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Collaborate with product managers, analysts, and engineers to implement features that advance the 4X genre.
• Shape the future of the game economy by balancing power curves, pacing, and resource flow.
• Evaluate performance using data, player feedback, and playtest experience to iterate on design.
• Design for scale, ensuring long-term content extensibility and system health.

Requirements

• Must be based in Spain, the UK, or Ireland.
• 8+ years of experience designing systems or economies for live, F2P games.
• 5+ years of game design leadership experience.
• Proven mastery of complex F2P game economies and progression modelling.
• Ability to translate KPI targets and data into actionable design direction.
• Excellent leadership skills with a track record of elevating team performance.

Nice to have

• Deep understanding of the 4X genre.
• Familiarity with SQL, scripting, or simulation tools.
