What you will do

• Develop and maintain scalable backend services and features for large-scale game projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and team leads to estimate, prioritize, and implement technical solutions.
• Ensure high standards of code quality through documentation, testing, and CI/CD best practices.
• Contribute to the development of internal tools and infrastructure to support game development pipelines.
• Support and mentor team members to foster a high-performance technical environment.
• Manage deployments and ensure system performance under heavy, high-concurrency loads.

Requirements

• Must be based in the UK or EU.
• Proven experience in game development, having contributed to at least two commercial titles.
• Strong background in developing server backends using Java, Golang, C#, C++, or Kotlin.
• Extensive experience deploying backend services for applications with massive concurrent user bases.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work autonomously within a distributed team.

Nice to have

• AWS Certification (Associate or above).
• Demonstrable experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of integration with game engines such as Unreal or Unity.
• Experience using Gen AI for code generation and data processing.
