What you will do

• Lead engineering teams in designing, building, and delivering trusted, high-impact data products.
• Develop, operate, and optimize robust data pipelines and systems that ingest, cleanse, transform, and structure diverse datasets.
• Drive design discussions and architecture sessions, facilitating consensus on the most effective and scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with product teams to define and evolve data product standards, governance, and quality guidelines.
• Mentor and develop engineers, contribute to knowledge sharing, and support growth of the organization through hiring and community engagement.
• Advocate for a data-driven culture, helping teams make informed decisions and continually improve how data is leveraged across the business.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or 5+ years of equivalent practical experience.
• Proficient in SQL and Python.
• Experience with Snowflake.
• Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., Postgres, DynamoDB).
• Skilled in building and operating ETL/ELT pipelines and working with semi-structured data.
• Proficient in cloud-native DataOps practices (IaC, CI/CD, Git).

Nice to have

• Experience with data modelling and warehousing (Dimensional, Data Vault 2.0).
• Exposure to large-scale data processing and streaming technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Kafka, Kinesis, Flink, Spark Streaming).
• AWS Associate-level certifications.
