What you will do

• Develop and maintain high-quality, well-tested code using Python, Ruby, and JavaScript.
• Lead large-scale technical initiatives and complex tasks from initial definition to final delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical disagreements and align on business objectives.
• Introduce and assess new technologies like Kubernetes and Kafka to enhance engineering standards.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to documentation to elevate technical knowledge across the entire team.
• Manage system monitoring and on-call responsibilities to ensure production reliability.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as an application developer or on a developer tools team.
• Mastery of Python, Ruby, or JavaScript.
• Experience with observability tools such as Datadog and PagerDuty.
• Proficiency in Terraform configuration and container orchestration.
• Knowledge of Kafka application configuration.
• Must be based in Canada.
