What you will do

• Own critical risk outcomes including fraud loss and abuse prevention for payment platforms.
• Design and build state-of-the-art risk decisioning systems, including rule engines and real-time scoring services.
• Architect high-throughput data pipelines to support risk detection and model training at global scale.
• Develop advanced detection capabilities using classical machine learning, graph-based methods, and agentic AI.
• Lead the integration of state-of-the-art LLM agents into automated risk evaluation systems.
• Collaborate on expanding payment infrastructure to new global markets and payment rails.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of software engineering experience.
• Experience building real-time risk or fraud detection systems at scale.
• Proven capability in designing and maintaining production services within a service-oriented architecture.
• Strong background in payment risk, including chargebacks, unauthorized transactions, and fraud typologies.
• Experience with rules engines and ML-based risk scoring, including feature engineering and model serving.
• Must demonstrate ability to responsibly use generative AI tools in daily workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience scaling risk systems at a fintech or neobank.
• Proficiency with Golang, Python, Kafka, Postgres, MongoDB, or Redis.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures for real-time streaming.
• Knowledge of blockchain analytics tools like Chainalysis or TRM Labs.
• Experience decomposing monolithic risk systems into microservices.
