What you will do

• Design and implement innovative solutions to optimize playback performance and ABR algorithms.
• Prototype and evaluate new capabilities for the video player to improve resiliency.
• Lead technical initiatives and architectural decisions across player and platform components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex production issues.
• Evolve internal engineering standards and best practices for streaming.
• Mentor and support fellow engineers to drive technical excellence and innovation.

Requirements

• Strong experience in software engineering focused on R&D or complex systems.
• Deep expertise in video streaming protocols such as HLS and DASH.
• Proficiency in languages including TypeScript, Rust, C, or Go.
• Experience designing SDKs, APIs, and platform components at scale.
• Ability to influence technical direction across multiple initiatives.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid capacity from the London office.
