What you will do

• Design and build high-performance, secure native Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Own end-to-end feature development from conceptualization through to deployment and monitoring.
• Partner with product and design teams to ensure accessible, inclusive, and visually polished experiences.
• Optimize application performance, memory management, and network efficiency for diverse device environments.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and automated testing workflows to ensure reliable release cycles.
• Mentor junior engineers and advocate for mobile best practices, clean code, and AI-driven development.

Requirements

• Location: Must be located in the US and available during EST or CST business hours.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional native Android development experience using Kotlin.
• Expertise in modern mobile architecture patterns like MVVM and Clean Architecture.
• Deep understanding of mobile security, HIPAA compliance, and data encryption practices.
• Proficiency with Android accessibility APIs and inclusive design standards.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud integration (AWS, Firebase, or Azure).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted tools like GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
• Experience with performance profiling using Android Studio.
