What you will do

• Integrate and optimize LLM calls for structured data extraction and document understanding.
• Improve API design and pre-processing algorithms, including chunking and extraction logic.
• Build and scale robust document processing pipelines for diverse file formats.
• Experiment with new techniques to enhance extraction accuracy and minimize latency.
• Develop internal tools and evaluation frameworks to diagnose failure cases.
• Collaborate closely with founders and customers to influence product and engineering strategy.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience building production-grade applications and integrating LLMs.
• Exceptional proficiency in Python.
• Quantitative approach to product development with the ability to debug and iterate rapidly.
• Strong problem-solving skills and high agency to own the development lifecycle from ideation to delivery.
• Comfortable with hands-on building and tool creation to test hypotheses.
• Must be able to work onsite in San Francisco.

Nice to have

• Prior experience founding a company or working in early-stage startups.
• Expertise in prompt engineering, fine-tuning, or building AI agents.
• Strong interest in the latest ML/AI research developments.
