About the Role

You will lead and manage two teams (API Platform and Datalake), guiding engineers through design, delivery, and operation of backend systems. You will drive delivery of key features, make technical decisions for scalable and maintainable solutions, collaborate with product, DevSecOps and SRE, define KPIs, and communicate progress to stakeholders. You will mentor engineers, foster experimentation, and maintain a strong focus on reliability, performance, and observability.

Requirements

• 4+ years of software engineering experience
• 2+ years of software engineering management experience in a global role
• Hiring management experience
• Agile software engineering experience
• Engineering skills in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Experience with Go (GoLang)
• Experience with Node.js and server side frameworks
• Experience with data warehousing and SQL
• Experience with AWS infrastructure
• Experience with observability tooling such as Prometheus and Grafana
• Proficiency with Git and GitHub
• Experience developing APIs, database, and backend services for consumer products
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Bonus: Project management skills
• Bonus: Web3 software development experience
• Bonus: Open source software contribution experience
• Bonus: MetaMask product usage (nice to have)

Responsibilities

• Manage up to two teams of 2–4 engineers and provide technical guidance and mentorship
• Drive delivery of key features and ensure release timelines and build quality
• Collaborate with product management, client teams, DevSecOps, and SRE to build performant and scalable services
• Foster innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning within teams
• Drive technical decision making for scalable, maintainable, and reliable solutions
• Maintain awareness of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activity
• Ensure seamless integration and collaboration with other engineering teams
• Define and track KPIs to measure team impact and inform product decisions
• Communicate technical plans, progress, and results to stakeholders
