TL;DR

Staff Backend Software Engineer (Medtech): Architecting and implementing end-to-end backend services for high-volume healthcare referral automation with an accent on data modeling and large-scale workflow orchestration. Location: Must be based in or able to commute to the Chelsea office (New York) 4 days/week.

Compensation: $220,000–$250,000

What you will do

  • Architect and implement features end-to-end across backend services and infrastructure.
  • Lead high-volume workflow automation initiatives using scalable data processing and ML infrastructure.
  • Design and maintain complex workflows that leverage machine learning for automation.
  • Drive performance optimization and ensure reliability across all stack layers.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer success teams to incorporate customer feedback.
  • Drive projects from conception to completion with a founder's mindset.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in backend development with TypeScript or Python.
  • Proven track record building and maintaining scalable web applications.
  • Experience integrating ML models into production environments.
  • Expertise in data pipelines and high-volume workflow automation.
  • Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Must be able to work from the Chelsea office 4 days per week.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in a startup or fast-paced tech environment.
