Salary: $130,000–$190,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Partner with Product and AI teams to architect new features and complex agentic systems.
• Build and maintain backend services and APIs to ensure secure and high-performance product operation.
• Design distributed services to orchestrate data pipelines and enable incident response at scale.
• Make architectural tradeoffs balancing platform, product, and business goals.
• Establish engineering standards for system design and communication in an AI-native environment.
• Own operational best practices to enable rapid, confident deployment.

Requirements

• 5-10+ years of experience designing and operating production backend systems.
• Deep expertise in API design, data modeling, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience running AWS or GCP infrastructure.
• Practical experience with CI/CD, testing, and deployment strategies.
• Solid grasp of observability and healthy on-call practices.
• Must be based in Wroclaw or open to relocation to Poland.

• Experience in early-stage or scaling startups.
