TL;DR

Art Director: Guiding interdisciplinary design projects from concept to realization with an accent on visual strategy, client communication, and team leadership. Focus on mentoring junior designers, managing project delivery, and spearheading creative pitches to drive agency growth.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Los Angeles, San Francisco, or New York. Role is hybrid with 3 days per week required in-studio.

Salary: $90,000–$140,000

What you will do

• Lead the creative vision across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
• Serve as a primary liaison between design teams and clients during project engagements.
• Coordinate with Strategy and Design Directors to deliver holistic and integrated design solutions.
• Mentor and develop junior design staff through guidance and constructive feedback.
• Support the growth of the studio by leading creative pitches and business development initiatives.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and collaboration with external vendors or consultants.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience in a design studio or creative agency.
• Must be local to Los Angeles, San Francisco, or New York and able to work onsite.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Sketch.
• Proven track record in managing project teams and winning new business.
• Experience mentoring junior staff and guiding design development.
• Strong background in digital, graphic, and three-dimensional design realms.
