What you will do

• Design and implement agentic workflows using Gemini 3, focusing on multi-step reasoning, function calling, and dynamic "thinking" configurations.
• Architect and maintain scalable microservices in Java and Go, ensuring low-latency communication between AI services and core databases.
• Build and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using Vertex AI Search and Vector Databases.
• Connect foundation models to real-world data and actions using Vertex AI Extensions and tool-use frameworks.
• Develop and version complex prompt templates in Vertex AI Studio, utilizing structured outputs (JSON/POJO) to ensure system reliability.
• Collaborate on the deployment and monitoring of AI models, focusing on evaluation, grounding, and safety filters.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
• Expert-level proficiency in Java (Spring Boot, LangChain4j) or Go (Go-routines, high-concurrency patterns).
• Hands-on experience with Vertex AI API, Google AI Studio, and the Gemini model family.
• Proven experience with Function Calling, Semantic Search, and managing LLM context windows.
• Strong command of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including GKE (Kubernetes), Cloud Run, and IAM security.
• Proficiency with SQL (PostgreSQL/AlloyDB) and NoSQL, specifically with an emphasis on Vector Search.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and monitoring tools like Cloud Logging/Monitoring.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication for cross-functional teamwork.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to maintain a positive work attitude.
• Initiative and drive to do great things.

Nice to have

• Experience migrating from Gemini 2.5 to Gemini 3.
• Familiarity with LangChain4j or similar frameworks for Java-based AI orchestration.
• Knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) or building custom AI agents.
• Google Cloud Professional ML Engineer or Cloud Architect certification.
