What you will do

• Develop and maintain scalable service-based software and system components.
• Improve system scalability, observability, and machine resource utilization.
• Profile and perform tuning of critical system components.
• Enhance system quality through test automation and tooling.
• Propose and prototype solutions to optimize software development processes.
• Participate in team brainstorming to contribute ideas to technology, algorithms, and products.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Must be available for 2-4 days (16-32 hours) per week for at least 6 months.
• Must work from the office in Taipei, Taiwan.
• Proficiency in building web services on Linux platforms.
• Strong skills in Python, Go, or Java.
• Solid understanding of Network API Design (REST or GraphQL) and database systems (SQL and NoSQL).

Nice to have

• Experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP) and managed services.
• Familiarity with CI/CD frameworks such as Jenkins, Drone, or ArgoCD.
• Experience with performance profiling, debugging, and high-performance network services.
• Knowledge of distributed computing frameworks like Spark or Flink.
