What you will do

• Evolve AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure using Terraform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Design, automate, and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI), embedding security controls directly into development workflows.
• Lead monitoring and observability initiatives (e.g., Datadog), proactively identifying system risks and driving incident response and resolution.
• Define and implement cloud security best practices, including IAM, RBAC, vulnerability management, and infrastructure hardening across environments.
• Drive security initiatives such as patch management, threat detection (e.g., GuardDuty, Falco), and credential leak prevention across systems and repositories.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams, contributing to architectural decisions and leading security audits and compliance efforts.

Requirements

• 5+ years in DevOps/SRE and 3+ years in security-focused roles, with a proven track record in securing cloud-native systems at scale.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes in production environments, including knowledge of IAM and RBAC models.
• Proficient in Terraform and CI/CD tooling (GitLab CI), and comfortable coding in at least one language (Go, Python, or JavaScript).
• Experience with data storage systems (e.g., PostgreSQL) and a working understanding of data pipelines/ETL processes (e.g., AWS Glue).
• Expertise in cloud security, monitoring, and observability, including tools like Datadog, GuardDuty, Falco, or similar.
• Proactive problem-solver with strong communication skills, comfortable working in Agile environments, and fluent in English.
