What you will do

• Initiate production documents and manage the content staging review process for medical education features.
• Develop and format complex PowerPoint slide decks, including the creation of tables, figures, and technical illustrations.
• Perform comprehensive quality control checks for spelling, syntax, grammar, and consistency with AMA and house style.
• Revise scientific language and biostatistics content to ensure clarity and flow while maintaining the author's voice.
• Select and secure permissions for images from databases to augment educational modules.
• Provide editorial guidance to team members and stakeholders to ensure process efficiency and adherence to editorial standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in life science, English, or journalism.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in medical or scientific editing, preferably within a medical education or communications agency.
• Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, including master slides and animation, and Word.
• In-depth knowledge of AMA style and medical/scientific terminology, including clinical trial designs and biostatistics.
• Work authorization in the United States is required as the role involves US-based 401(k) benefits and health insurance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with global stakeholders across multiple time zones and handle high-volume, deadline-driven tasks.

Nice to have

• BELS board-certified editor certification.
• Experience with web-based project management tools like WorkFront or MS Project.
• Familiarity with ACCME/EACCME guidelines.
• Experience editing content from non-native English speakers.
