Salary: $175,000 – $275,000

What you will do

• Design and deploy scalable backend services to power creative web-based tools.
• Develop secure and stable Python code for high-performance applications.
• Interface with foundation models and manage data integration with Postgres, Redis, and DynamoDB.
• Implement event streaming and processing logic within AWS infrastructure.
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers to build novel, disruptive technology.

Requirements

• Must be based in San Francisco
• At least 5 years of professional experience building backend services.
• Proficiency in Python and frameworks such as FastAPI and Pydantic.
• Experience building and scaling cloud-based infrastructure using Kubernetes and EKS.
• Strong experience working with relational databases.

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD, monitoring, and high-availability service design.
• Familiarity with authentication standards like OAuth2, OIDC, and JWT.
• Experience with AWS services including IAM, S3, and Route53.
• Knowledge of event streaming tools like SQS or Kafka.
• Experience deploying machine learning models on NVIDIA hardware using Docker and Kubernetes.
