Senior Software Engineer (Backend): Designing and building scalable backend architecture for data and AI platforms with an accent on system reliability, high-performance API design, and distributed systems. Focus on leading complex engineering projects, mentoring team members, and optimizing production services for observability and scale.

What you will do

Lead the technical design and roadmap for large-scale backend services and projects.
Develop and maintain reliable, scalable, and maintainable software components.
Mentor junior engineers and facilitate cross-team agile development processes.
Optimize system observability, incident management, and DevOps operational procedures.
Conduct code reviews to enforce high-quality coding standards.
Participate in on-call rotations to ensure platform reliability and performance.

Requirements

5+ years of professional software development experience.
Proficiency in Python, Scala, Go, Java, or C++.
Strong understanding of Network API design (REST or GraphQL) and database systems (SQL/NoSQL).
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Demonstrated leadership in mentoring and facilitating agile processes.
Ability to build and operate web services on Linux environments.

Nice to have

Experience designing large-scale distributed systems and algorithms.
Expertise in performance tuning and low-level Linux network services.
Knowledge of CI/CD, monitoring tools (Prometheus/Nagios), and automation (Ansible).
Background in functional programming or data-intensive application design.
