Full Stack Engineer

Revley is an 8-month-old bootstrapped fintech startup headquartered in Manhattan, already profitable on unit economics. We're building the operating system for high-scale commerce — a platform that gives subscription brands ownership of their payment tokens, lets them process across any gateway, and unifies checkout, subscriptions, and chargeback prevention into one system.

Our biggest merchant processes $20M/month. In 8 months we've signed B2B contracts with 12 enterprise partners: Stripe • Adyen • Airwallex • Nuvei • NMI • Finix • Braintree • Authorize.net • Kurv • Quantum ePay • PayArc • Chargeblast

Most startups at our stage have one processor and a prayer. We built an entire payment network. We're hiring Full Stack Engineers to build real payment infrastructure that processes real money every day. You ship from day one. Your code goes live to merchants doing $50K–$5M+ MRR. You move fast, break nothing, and own what you build.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build and maintain payment processor integrations using a strategy-pattern architecture (Stripe, Adyen, NMI, Airwallex, Braintree, Authorize.net)
• Develop checkout flows — credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal with client-side tokenization via PCI Level 1 vault
• Build subscription billing logic — CIT and MIT transaction flows, auth holds, captures, refunds, voids
• Design webhook consumers normalizing async events from multiple processors into a unified internal event model Searching for Development & Programming roles that provide visa sponsorship? • Write clean, tested TypeScript across NestJS backend and Next.js frontend
• Build Shopify integrations — Admin API (GraphQL), Storefront API, script tag injection, selling plan management
• Optimize checkout latency (target: sub-5-second checkout)
• Implement and maintain GitHub Actions CI/CD and e2e testing on staging branches

MUST-HAVES

• Strong Next.js, NestJS, TypeScript
• SQL, PostgreSQL (bonus: Supabase)
• Git, GitHub (PRs, branching, code review)
• REST APIs and webhook-driven architectures

STRONGLY PREFERRED — PAYMENT/E-COMMERCE BACKGROUND

• Integrated payment processors (Stripe, Adyen, Shopify Payments, PayPal, Braintree, NMI, or similar)
• Understand tokenization, PCI, auth/capture flows, CIT vs MIT, network tokens
• Built checkout flows for e-commerce (Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, or custom)
• Shopify API experience (Admin, Storefront, webhooks, app development)
• Subscription billing / recurring payments experience

COMPENSATION 1099 independent contractor.

• $70K–$110K base (USD)
• Revenue share on platform revenue — the platform grows, your comp grows
• Stock equity options — meaningful equity for an early-stage hire
• Semi-annual performance-based comp increases
• NYC + Remote. Open to candidates based in the USA or Canada. Visa sponsorship available.
