Compensation: $167,500 – $211,500 per year

What you will do

• Own and evolve CI/CD infrastructure using GitHub Actions to improve build and deployment efficiency.
• Build and maintain the Backstage developer portal including service catalog and golden path templates.
• Develop internal developer tools for Go, Rails, and Vue.js services to automate best practices.
• Configure and roll out AI-assisted coding tools like Claude Code and GitHub Copilot.
• Enable self-service capabilities allowing teams to ship services from creation to staging independently.
• Collaborate with SRE to monitor and improve developer experience metrics like MTTR and build frequency.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from the New York City office
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of experience in developer tooling, CI/CD systems, or infrastructure automation.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Strong experience with CI/CD platforms and internal developer portals.
• Polyglot programming experience with ability to work across Go, Python, TypeScript, or Ruby.

Nice to have

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Familiarity with feature management systems like LaunchDarkly.
• Background in workflow engines like Temporal.
• Experience measuring and improving developer productivity metrics.
