What you will do

• Own the full incident lifecycle including intake, classification, escalation, containment, and post-incident reviews.
• Monitor security signals across AWS, identity providers, and networks; investigate alerts and drive resolution.
• Maintain runbooks, conduct tabletop exercises, and reduce mean-time-to-detect and respond.
• Leverage tools like CrowdStrike Falcon and NG-SIEM to tune alerts and build response playbooks.
• Support compliance frameworks such as ISO-27001, UK Cyber Essentials, and NIST 800-53.
• Partner with Legal, Finance, and IT on vendor security reviews and third-party access governance.

Requirements

• Location: Hybrid role based in Kanata, Ottawa, Canada
• Must be eligible for up to a Top-Secret Security Clearance
• 8+ years of experience in maturing Security Operations and incident response.
• Hands-on experience with CrowdStrike Falcon, AWS GuardDuty, and intrusion prevention tools.
• Ability to maintain operational workflows using ManageEngine and lead investigations under pressure.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex security risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
