What you will do

• Handle original research and review manuscripts, overseeing the editorial process including peer review and manuscript selection.
• Make well-reasoned and timely editorial decisions based on expert advice.
• Collaborate extensively with editors across Nature journals and international research communities.
• Engage with the scientific community through travel to conferences and research institutions.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Beijing, Madrid, or Shanghai with hybrid work.
• PhD-level research experience in engineering, ideally with sustainability focus or strong understanding of sustainability issues.
• Passion for science and broad interest in scientific and technological developments.
• Ability to assess novelty and implications of research across diverse engineering disciplines.
• Excellent time-management and communication skills.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
